An outbreak has been declared at Winnipeg’s St. Boniface Hospital after two sufferers contracted COVID-19 inside hospital.
A letter to workers and physicians Friday, which CBC obtained a duplicate of, says a “cluster” of COVID-19 instances linked to the E6 unit was lately recognized, prompting the testing of all contacts who have been doubtlessly uncovered between Oct. 5 and Oct. 16.
That unit is now closed to admissions and visitation is restricted, although the hospital stays open.
