A 27-year-old Halifax man is dealing with a cost of assaulting a Moncton, N.B., police officer after resisting arrest and trying to flee in a stolen cruiser.
New Brunswick RCMP say the cost stems from a Saturday evening incident at a comfort retailer.
Officers had been known as to a store on Killam Drive in Moncton round 5 p.m. AT after a report of a disturbance, based on a information launch. After arriving, police noticed a man and a girl strolling close by. Each had been believed to be concerned within the incident.
Codiac Regional RCMP tried to arrest him.
Police say the Halifax resident resisted and managed to get contained in the police cruiser. He tried to flee, however hit a second police automotive that had simply arrived. Nobody was significantly injured.
The person then fled on foot, however was arrested close by, mentioned RCMP.
