The Ontario authorities is investing in two summer season applications to assist tackle antisemitism in colleges.
Schooling Minister Stephen Lecce says the province will give $327,000 to the Mates of Simon Wiesenthal Middle for Holocaust Research to assist the programs.
One program will present skilled improvement periods for educators aimed toward dismantling antisemitism in numerous environments. One other will assist college students study human rights and find out how to take care of injustice.
Lecce says the province desires to make sure Jewish college students really feel protected and supported in class.
Statistics Canada says there have been 296 police-reported incidents focusing on Jewish folks in 2019.
