The Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation Faculty went right into a lockdown Thursday morning as a precaution after a person was reportedly seen carrying a gun close to the varsity.
RCMP mentioned the incident started when a automobile drove off the highway and hit a fence in a area close to the varsity. A person was noticed leaving the automobile, and seemed to be carrying a gun.
The person was then seen strolling towards a home throughout the highway from the varsity, police say.
RCMP from the Ahtahkakoop, Huge River and Spiritwood detachments surrounded the home and contacted the residents.
Seven individuals have been inside, together with the person who was on the centre of the grievance.
The 30-year-old was arrested with out incident and charged with seven offences, together with unsafe storage of a firearm and possession of a firearm whereas prohibited.
Police confiscated an unloaded gun that was discovered within the residence.
